Great Barrier Reef DEAL – Liveaboard
Great Barrier Reef Deal Stay on the Great Barrier Reef snorkelling deal, two days and one night
Read moreThe beauty and tranquillity of the underwater world will enrapture even the biggest sceptic, and everywhere you scuba dive on the planet has something different to offer.
Swim alongside turtles and dolphins on the Great Barrier Reef, dive the shipwrecks of the Mediterranean or marvel at the kelp forests in California – scuba diving is an easy, safe and fun activity the whole family can get involved in!
A great way to try scuba diving without any prior training is to participate in a Resort Dive with a dive leader. Important: This webpage does not replace proper scuba instruction.*
If you have never tried scuba diving before this webpage will give you a taster of what to expect and some basic things all first time resort divers should know. It is not meant to replace any instruction given to you by a dive professional. Always follow the directions of your Scuba Instructor.
Here you will be given an easy to understand overview of some basic scuba diving rules, not the reasoning behind them.
If you want to learn more about what’s involved or you try a fun resort dive and love it (and most people do!) then it is strongly recommended that you complete an entry level Open Water Course which is the first official step in scuba diving training, where you will learn all the fundamentals to help you become a confident scuba diver.
Before trying scuba diving for the first time you will be given a briefing by your dive leader.
Whether you are trying scuba diving in a swimming pool or you are taking a fun resort dive in the ocean, it is important to listen carefully and make sure you understand all directions.
*If you are not trained to scuba dive and you do not hold an adequate scuba diving licence, then all scuba diving must be undertaken with a fully qualified Scuba Diving Instructor for your own safety.
